Take Me to Church: Good Friday Church Service in Chicago

Good Friday Service

*Note, there is an updated article for Good Friday Church Service in Chicago for April 2017 here.

Sometimes I feel like I have become part of the Easter and Christmas crowd mainly because I don’t have a home church. Thus begins the scramble for finding a church for important days like today. Usually, funeral’s come with directions to the church. But, this event came as an open invitation, for some with a day off, and for others, news of the brunch special on Sunday for Easter.

Meditating and Reflecting on Your Own:

If reading alone or just reflecting is more your style, then there are 4 passages that tell the story of Jesus’ death:

Matthew 26: 14-27

Mark 14:12-15

Luke 22-23

John 18-19

Have a great Easter Weekend!
