Peet’s Coffee and Tea Tests Warm Breakfast in Chicago Coffee Shops

It’s happening. I swear you will want a scarf, gloves, and a warm breakfast.

Peet’s Coffee and Tea, a national chain and one that is growing bigger with the recent stake in Chicago-based, Intelligentsia, added to its menu. Peet’s Coffee and Tea launched an all-day warm breakfast menu exclusively in Chicago.

With hopes to add revenue and cater to the change in season, Peet’s Coffee and Tea is heating things up with seven warm breakfast items.

Warm Breakfast at Peet’s:

All items are healthy at less than 500 calories, and some even under 300 calories.

Favorites include vegetarian options like the Roasted Veggie Crustless Quiche,  an eggy custard blend mixed with roasted broccoli, mushrooms, red peppers and cheese. This is one of their most popular items at the Wrigley Building location off of Michigan Avenue. (400 N. Michigan Ave. #120) downtown.

Another favorite warm breakfast option from Peet’s Coffee and Tea is the Kale and Goat Cheese Flatbread. This option isn’t overpowered by kale. It’s nicely balanced with roasted tomato pesto, goat cheese and egg white on a crispy flatbread.

Hearty warm breakfast options are also available like the Bacon and Cheddar sandwich and another favorite, the Maple Chicken Sausage.

These warm breakfast items are similar to those at other coffee chains like Starbucks. All items are frozen and reheated. They are easy for on the go breakfast as we walk and shop in the city.

As you take pictures by the Christmas Trees at Pioneer Court and downtown at Millennium Park, you can grab coffee and something warm at Peet’s Coffee and Tea.

I’m taking the Carmel Macchiato with me as I finish my Christmas shopping. Tis the season. Stay warm.
