Chicago Black Wednesday Parties and Specials

Chicago Black Wednesday Parties and Specials

Featuring happy hours, a “Black Light Party”, live music and more

There’s Thanksgiving dinner and then there’s the day before Thanksgiving, Black Wednesday. Whether you’re the lucky person traveling home or staying in the city, Black Wednesday is always a nice buffer. It’s a time to relax and unwind with a cocktail or party.

If you want Don Julio 1942, then head to Joy District. And for Oysters, there’s Hubbard Inn, but I would stick around for the upstairs mixology-driven lounge, “Blue Violet at Hubbard Inn,” since Hubbard Inn closed in May and opened at the end of October according to Chicago Magazine.

For a party vibe (because that’s how a Wednesday that feels like a Friday should be), The Owl is always fun for dancing. Estelle’s is The Thrillist’s favorite late-night spots in Wicker Park, and Remedy is having a black light party.
