Chicago Air and Water Show Drink and Viewing Specials

Good views and good specials for the Chicago Air and Water Show 2019.

It’s going to be a long weekend in Chicago. This time the crowds will be looking up at the sky for the Chicago Air and Water Show. It’s always an exciting time – especially when you have a good view -trust me, it gets crowded. 

Below are a few prime spots for you to watch the planes soar: 

Castaways Air & Water Show Packages

  • Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18
  • $180 tickets

Locals and tourists alike can enjoy a premium view of the Air and Water Show from Castaways on North Avenue Beach. Tickets are $180 per person and are available for Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18 from 9 a.m. until the end of the show (approximately 3 p.m.). The all-inclusive ticket includes a breakfast and lunch buffet, and open bar. Limited tickets remain and are available by emailing Andrea Frankos or call 312.662.2500.

The Miller Lite Beer Garden Air Show Viewing and Live Music

  • Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18

Located at the East End of Navy Pier, the Miller Lite Beer Garden is an Air Show viewing hotspot on both Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18. To celebrate, the beer garden will have live entertainment all weekend long (lineup below). 

For guests craving a quick bite, the quick-service walk-up window offers summer favorites like homemade pizza, brats and burgers as well as beer, wine, cocktails and frozen drinks.
Saturday, August 17

2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Nicholas Barron Electric Band

5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.: Bassel & The Super naturals

9 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.: Wedding Banned
Sunday, August 18

Cool Your Jets” Shareable Cocktail at Parlay

  • Friday, August 16 through Sunday, August 18
  • $64 cocktail special

In celebration of the 61st Annual Chicago Air and Water Show, Parlay at Joy District will mix up a super-sized, shareable, sky-colored “Cool Your Jets” cocktail for $64 each with Casamigos, habanero agave, lime, simple syrup and blue curacao. The drink serves four to six guests. Quantity is limited.

Pop-Up Sand Bar Beer Garden 

  • Friday, August 16 through Sunday, August 18
  • Complimentary Admission
  • $1 to $7 food and drink specials

The pop-up Sand Bar Beer Garden will be located on the beach near the Northeast corner of the North Avenue Beach Boathouse (a.k.a. Castaways) at the center of Chicago Air & Water Show (map available upon request). The beer garden will be open August 16, 17 and 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (last call occurs at 3 p.m.). This is a non-ticketed event and admission is first come, first served.

This unique space allows guests to view the show from a private beach location, while enjoying food and drinks available for purchase. Menu items will include $6 cheeseburgers, $5 hot dogs, $4 bottled water, $1 bags of chips and $8 beers. This is the only space on the entire beachfront where alcohol is permitted during the Chicago Air and Water Show.  Location: Sand Bar Beer Garden North Avenue BeachChicago, IL 60614

Whispers at Oak Street Beach

  • Saturday, August 17 through Sunday, August 18
  • Open Bar and Buffet Wristband ($125), Cabanas ($1,700 for 10-12 people. Online purchase only.)
  • $25 Cover charge at the door. Space is limited and will be capped at our capacity
